Three Good Reasons to Send Holiday Cards
Tis' the season to be BUSY!  We've polished off the Thanksgiving turkey and are diving into those final hectic weeks of the year.  For many of us, it's time to make an important business decision.  To send or not to send holiday cards.

Since Write On Results focuses on personalized mailings, it's probably no surprise that I believe it's a good business decision to send holiday cards.  I won't deny that sending holiday cards takes time and effort that many of us don't have in abundance this time of year.  But, the work you put into it now, can make a big impact later on.

Here are Three Good Reasons to Send Holiday Cards:

1. Be a Good Friend
There are few better occasions than the holidays for you to send a friendly hello to your contact list.  Holiday cards don't come across as a sales or product pitch - they simply say, "I'm thinking of you".  These cards can be a great way to show your contacts that they are important to you, which can lead to long-term friendships and loyalties.  Who doesn't want that for their business?

2. Be the First One They Remember for Next Year
This is the time of year when many organizations and individuals are making their purchasing plans for the coming year.  Holiday cards are a great way for you to remind your clients that you are here - ready to help.

3. Be On Display
Have you ever noticed that people like to display their holiday cards?  Not just at home, but also in the office.  Because holiday cards are a more personal form of contact, many people hold onto them for a while, rather than tossing them into the trash.  It's likely that many of your contacts will prop your card on a shelf or hang it on their wall.  Do you think they'd do the same with your brochure or datasheet?  Yeah, right!  If you make your card memorable by including a handwritten note or a unique photo, they'll think of you each time they glance at your card.

These are just a few reasons why we should all be sending holiday cards to our contacts this year.  Small gestures like this can go a long way in building strong relationships and strong businesses.

If you haven't done so already, get working on your lists, pick out your cards, start addressing them (or let me know if you need help!), and wish them all a Happy Holiday.

Happy Holidays!

 A Great Quote...

It's the most wonderful time of the year.
With the kids jingle belling,
and everyone telling you,
"Be of good cheer,"
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
